Buenes Aires

After a roughly 5 hour flight from Oakland to Miami, a 2 hour layover, a roughly 9 hour flight from Miami to Buenes Aires and a 1 hour bus ride, we made it to the hotel!

We got checked in, but rooms weren’t ready yet. Then off to the hospitality table from Viking so they could let us know the plan for tomorrow, as we head further south by plane, before boarding the ship.

We need to be downstairs for a grab and go breakfast after 425am. Then be ready to get on the bus a few minutes at 5am.

It was about 2.5 hours before our hotel rooms were ready, but Viking had a conference room where we could get some juice, water, tea and coffee. We ended up meeting a few people who are on our cruise. There are a few others who are on another of Vikings cruises in the next couple of days.

After getting our rooms, we freshened up, then got an Uber to a restaurant that had been recommended in one of the Facebook groups I’d seen – Villegas Resto.

We got a pork tenderloin empanada to start, and then shared a rib eye, bone in short ribs, potatoes gratin, and parmesan arugula salad (heavy on the parm). And then for desert flan and tiramisu.

We finished dinner around 6 so then went for a short walk along the Rio Dasena Sur.

Back at the hotel my sister and I went down to the gym for a 20 minute was on the treadmills. Then off to bed for our early morning wake up!

We head further south tomorrow and board the ship!
