We start our travels east on Saturday. Our parents flying from Connecticut. My sister from California, and me from Hawaii. My parents and sister will be arriving within an hour of each other. I should be there 6 hours after. I suspect by the time I get to the ship, my cabinmate (sis) will be fast asleep! LOL
I thought we would have more dark, but according to timeanddate.com, Bergen where we depart from currently has 9 hours 26 minutes of daylight. Tromso (our northern most point) 7 hours 56 minutes.
Temperatures though. Gonna be particularly cold for someone who has lived in Hawaii for the last nearly 26 years. Currently Bergen has snow and its 28 F. Tromso is currently 19. Brrrr. Hope I have enough clothes packed. I may be wearing them all at the same time.
I am pretty sure I have all my information updated in all the apps necessary for the trip. Seeing as I don’t use all those clothes in every day living in Hawaii, pretty sure my checked bag is all packed.
I plan to post at least once a day on the cruise to keep family and friends apprised of our activities. My sister and I are definitely looking forward to the trip and especially the time we will get to chat with both parents. As with the Antarctica trip last year, I plan to take a ton of photos, so stay tuned!
