Our second night in Tromso, my sister and I had booked another tour to go chase the northern lights. After seeing some in Alta, and with weather expected in Tromso, we cancelled. And then my sister had second thoughts. She opted to find another tour, and it definitely worked out for her!
When we came back from our planetarium and cathedral tour, she and I hopped the shuttle to the city center. I went shopping and she met up with her tour to go chasing the northern lights. They did end up seeing a great show, and could see the lights with the naked eye.
So thankfully we all saw them that night! She got back to our stateroom around 1am.
